8th October 2012 is the last day of the first fifty years of Uganda’s history as an independent nation while 9th October 2012 is the first day of our next fifty years as a nation. From 11th August 2012, believers in the nation took off 50 days of prayer and fasting for the next fifty years of Uganda, which conclude on 29th September with nationwide Jubilee Prayer Walks throughout our cities and towns and Solemn Assemblies in different parts of the country.

As we mark the beginning of a new period in our history as a nation, Uganda Jubilee Network, an association comprising of Church of Uganda, National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches, Born Again Faith Federation, Evangelical Fellowship of Uganda, World Trumpet Mission and Intercessors for Uganda, is organizing a major night of prayer, praise and celebration. Uganda Jubilee Prayer Night will bridge the concluding fifty years and the beginning fifty years from Monday, 8th October to Tuesday, 9th October 2012 at Namboole Stadium.

On behalf of Archbishop Luke Orombi, Apostle Alex Mitala, Apostle Joseph Serwadda, Apostle John Mulinde, Bishop Simon Peter Emiau and Pastor Laban Jjumba, I invite you and your congregation to join with other members of the Body of Christ as we usher our nation into her next 50 years of existence. Among the things that will be featured are:

  • Thanksgiving for the past fifty years and dedication of various aspects of church and national life into the hands of God for the next fifty years.
  • Praise, Worship and Celebration for the crossover.
  • An opportunity to give in kind towards those in prison and prison service. A tent shall be provided where materials in kind can be dropped for the prison ministry.
  • An offering towards the costs of hosting the event. Any surplus will be used in outreach to the prisons as part of this jubilee season.

Please plan to attend and mobilize your members to be part of this special gathering for the sake of our nation and its future.  Uganda Jubilee Network can be contacted through email: ugandajubilee@gmail.com or by phone: 0759 867378.

Let us possess the spiritual gates of the next 50 years.

In His Vineyard,
