Divine expectation for Uganda at 50 years

Positioning Ourselves

There are divine expectations from nations celebrating their Jubilee and are the direct result of obeying the specific instructions outlined Leviticus…

Every Jubilee season must culminate in the following:

1. Extraordinary Grace for the Salvation of Souls:
The Church in the Jubilee nations must be mobilised to undertake the greatest evangelistic effort ever known. The field is usually ripe with an abundant harvest. This is clear from the Ghana Jubilee prophecy. The land shall witness the greatest harvest of souls in her season of jubilee. Blow the trumpet; gather the people in every place. Gather them in the markets, gather them in the schools. Gather them in the hotels. Gather them in the prisons. Gather them in the market, gather them in the hospitals. I will restore health to you. I will heal your wounds. Gather them even in the mosques. I will speak to them and change their heart in the very places they have blasphemed my name.

2. Deliverance from Bondage and Slavery:
This is a specific divine expectation of every season. At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee (Deuteronomy 15:1, 12).

3. Abolition of Absolute Poverty:
Jesus said that we will always have the poor with us. Nevertheless, Jubilee seasons are times for the abolition of absolute poverty. Deuteronomy 15:7-11 says: If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

4. Deliverance from Debt and Indebtedness:
Directly related to the abolition of absolute poverty is the deliverance from debt. Individuals, institutions and nations can be delivered from the scourge of debt during Jubilee seasons. At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD’S release (Deuteronomy 15:1-2).

5. Amnesty and Redemption of People and Places:
The Jubilee season is a time of mercy and grace. Mercy involves not getting the punishment due you. Grace is getting a blessing you don’t really deserve to get.
